Services
As a professional genealogist Christine Rose undertook considerable research for clients for about forty years. Her specialty of onsite research at courthouses and other repositories throughout the country assisted many. She traveled several months a year for clients, researching many different surnames. Her onsite search usually consisted of a search of information on the surname in the county courthouse in the pertinent time period, and also a search of any local repositories (public library, genealogical society, etc.) and cemeteries. She researched in over 500 courthouses throughout the United States making her uniquely qualified to locate and interpret documents found in those facilities and which resulted in a book on courthouses.
In addition to onsite research, Christine specialized in military and federal land research at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., the Bureau of Land Management in Springfield, Virginia, the D.A.R. library, and the Library of Congress. Her guidebooks reflect this knowledge.
